I'm using i-cut version 5.2.3 with an m-800 table.

When ready to cut I get an error, camera interface, error-43 while opening driver, unknown device default.

What should I do to remedy this.
Thanks

-43 error means that your epix card driver is not installed. What you need to do is go to -Control Panel -System -Device manager.

You will see that there is a yellow exclamation point next to "Imaging devices" This is your epix capture card. You need to right click on both of them (One says audio, other video) and update the drivers. When it asks where to find the driver, click browse folders and the drivers should be in the cd or download folder under icut/epix folder. Click on winXP folder and pick this. Update these and reboot your computer and it will work.

I am working as an it-person for our customer who uses zund & i-cut combo. Today I had to change the computer which controlled the zund and everything else installed (eventually) without any problem to the new computer except that the camera isn't working in i-cut/zund anymore. The picture from the camera is messed up and it doesn't even show any real picture just some disordered random picture shows into the camera control(or whatever the process is called when you can control the cutter/camera). :(
There isn't any error messages.
Can anyone help me? I need to get the cutter working again.

Did you install the epix card driver? Check in device manager under "imaging devices" to see if there is any yellow exclamation points next to a device.

If that is all ok, make sure that you are connected to the right port on the card. YOu need the top coax output, the port closest to the bracket where the pci card is screwed to the mboard. (There are two identical ports on the card, only one will work)

If that is ok, check the connections on the top of the camera. Make sure all cables are screwed in completely and power is going to camera.

Let me know if this doesnt resolve the problem and we can look into it further.

Sounds to me like you have a ICC camera which PAL format, normally i-cut uses am ntsc formatted camera.

Hi together,

i have the same problem with the camera, and i cant fix it.
I use I-Cut 5.2.4 with Vista 32bit on a Zuend M-1600 and a PIXCI SV5-Card.

The error-message i get is error-43 while opening driver.

I have tried all things from previous posts. The drivers are installed without errors. I diables the UAC, but seem not to be the reason.

I would be glad if you could help me.

Robby

Try downloading the new icut 6.3.2 software and use the driver package that is inside of the "Epix" folder. The drivers that you have are most likely not compatible with Win Vista.

I tried the new EPIX driver from I-Cut 6.3.2 but didn't help.
Same Error.

I have a German OS i don't know if this could be a problem.

If i go to "Preferences" Menu -Item and choose in the next Window "Check" i get this "Error 43" and the next Message which pops up is:
"Videosystem could not be initialized".

May this could help a bit. I also have the newest Windows Updates installed.
