i-script

i-script is the standard workflow solution for digital printing and digital finishing systems. RIP (Raster Image Processing) software products, such as Caldera, ColorBurst, ErgoSoft, Onyx and many others, use i-script to output cutting information directly to i-cut in the form of i-script files. Vector cutting information is attached to the original print file and then extracted by the RIP upon import. Any tiling, nesting, scaling, cropping or other modification of the print job is also applied to the cutting information. At printing time the modified vector cut information is output to an i-script file.

Barcodes may be added to automate production and file management. A new i-script file and corresponding barcode is automatically generated for every job that is printed; virtually eliminating the possibility of user errors related to file management. Barcodes also allow i-cut to automatically retrieve files during the production process, making it the only cutting system capable of processing variable cutting data in fully automated production. As an example, this allows you to automatically process rolls of material containing hundreds of individual custom printed jobs with no user intervention.
